Bonjour love,

There’s something I’ve been thinking about lately that I wanted to share with you.

You can take incredibly good care of a body you’ve stopped actually living inside.

I know because I did it for years.

At one point, I was probably the healthiest-looking I’d ever been.

I was quite thin, I exercised every day, and I ate incredibly well. I had built an entire career around women’s wellness.

Annnnnd…I had never felt so numb.

I would wake up, shower, drink my coffee, get dressed, work, and barely experience any of it.

I didn’t notice the warmth of the water against my skin. The smell of my coffee. The feeling of fabric against my body.

Everything was happening, but I wasn’t really feeling it or being there.

For a long time, I thought taking good care of my body meant feeding it the right things, moving it, resting it, keeping it healthy.

All of those things matter.

But I’ve come to believe there’s another kind of relationship we can have with our bodies—one that has much less to do with how well we maintain them and much more to do with how deeply we experience being inside them.

That’s when I started to understand sensuality differently.

Sensuality isn’t just about sex or seduction. It’s our capacity to experience pleasure through our senses.

The warmth of water against your skin.
The smell of coffee before the first sip.
The sweetness of a perfectly ripe peach.
The feeling of someone’s hand resting against your body.
The first cool breeze after a painfully hot day.

These experiences are so ordinary that we barely notice them.

And yet, I wonder if they’re precisely where our aliveness lives.

I had spent years learning how to take care of my body. But I had forgotten how to live inside it.

And lately, I’ve been wondering how many other women have too.

I believe falling in love with life again doesn’t always require changing your life. I believe it begins by coming back inside it.

That’s the idea I wanted to explore in 5 Days to Fall in Love With Life Again, an audio experience I created for Issue 01 of SABRINA.

For five days, I’m inviting you to experience everyday life through your senses again.

To notice. To taste. To listen. To touch. To look.

Just five small experiments in paying attention to the pleasure that may already be around you.

If you miss feeling fully alive in your own body, come try it with me.

Wherever this week takes you, I hope you find a few moments that make you stop, breathe a little deeper, and think,

God, it feels good to be here.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead 🖤

Warmly,
Sabrina
